The chinese models like Kimi K and Deepseek will catch up to Fable level in 6 to 12 months. And for much cheaper cost at what Fable will cost when it relaunches. What will that do to the US AI market?

Yes, I think Fable will relaunch in a couple of weeks tops.
Im not saying the lockup of Fable is a marketing thing, there probably are legitimate security concerns. But Im also sure they will be able to get that sorted...
This shows one thing: Never be dependent on one AI supplier/model.
If the US decides to keep Fable locked up, they are seriously shooting them selves in the foot. Just like they did with the import ban of the H200 chips from Nvidia to China.
That ban only made the chinese AI model builders better at designing and training AI models on small hardware, which essentially has given them a potential lead.
What will the US government do to Openai, when they launch their alternative to Fable? Because we all know thats bound to happen very soon..
